Satan Hindered Us

1 Thess.2:14-16 For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all mankind by hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles that they might be saved--so as always to fill up the measure of their sins. But God's wrath has come upon them at last1 Thess.2:18 because we wanted to come to you--I, Paul, again and again--but Satan hindered usGod's Word is mighty!2 Cor.4:1-6 Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing.  In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.Satan will do anything to hinder the spread of the gospel. It is the hindering of man's will toward the obedience of God's will that endangers souls. Lord, help us discern right from wrong. We know that the devil is cunning and we need Your Word in our souls. Burn Your Word deep inside our hearts and mind so we may draw wisdom and strength. Amen
