THE GOSPEL: OUR FAVORITE STORY

Romans 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith."

The gospel is our favorite story

and we’re obligated to tell everybody about it...

• because we’re not ashamed of it.

• because it’s God’s saving power for everyone who has faith.

(Romans 1:16-17; cf. Habakkuk 2:4; Galatians 3:11)

• because that’s the way He makes us right and gives us life.

(Romans 1:17; cf. 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 3:9)
