The Majesty Of God

Majesty definition 

Royal sovereignty, authority, supreme greatness 

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.  - Psalm 148:13

And all were astonished at the majesty of God. Jesus Again Foretells His Death But while they were all marveling at everything he was doing, Jesus said to his disciples, - Luke 9:43

16 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,"

18 we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.

21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. - 2 Peter 1:16-21

22 As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men,

23 and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day." And they were greatly distressed. - Matthew 17:22-23

30 They went on from there and passed through Galilee. And he did not want anyone to know,

31 for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise."

32 But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him. - Mark 9:30-32

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,

25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. - Jude 1:24-25

22 Out of the north comes golden splendor; God is clothed with awesome majesty. 

23 The Almighty-we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
