Bible Test for Making Wise Decisions Part One

8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),

Scripture test

Base your decision on the word of God!

Obey it and know the word.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, - 2 Timothy 3:16

26 "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:

27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today,

28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known. - Deuteronomy 11:26-28

Feelings deceive but God's word will never mislead.

Sanctification test

Set apart for God

20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!

21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,

23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. - Ephesians 4:20-24

Think,

And become more like Jesus!

Your command is to be like Jesus!

Survey test

What if people followed my behavior?

Do we drawing people to Jesus or away from Jesus? 

Are we going to the light or toward darkness?

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12

15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me. - 1 Corinthians 4:15-16

The will of God will never contradict the word of God!

There is no peace apart from God's word!

Your feelings will deceive!

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. - Isaiah 30:21

"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"  - Psalm 46:10
