Do You Feel Powerless?

PRAY OVER THIS

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

PONDER THIS

Smallpox used to be a devastating disease. When Cortez, the explorer, came and visited the Aztec Indians, he left behind one of his soldiers who had smallpox. In two years, four million of the Aztecs died because they didn’t have any antibodies. Then one day, scientists learned how to immunize by taking a weakened form of a disease and putting it in a human body so that the weakened form of that disease could then mobilize and get the name, rank, and serial number of these invaders and call the army to war. Do you know what they call blood that has had this disease and overcome this disease? They call it wise blood.

The blood of Jesus is wise blood. Anything Jesus has overcome, we can overcome. Satan has no power against the blood of Jesus Christ that flows through His body, the Church. This is the shared blood. Jesus said in John 6:53-54, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

PRACTICE THIS

Spend some time in prayer about the things in life that threaten to overwhelm you. Ask Jesus to help you overcome through His wise blood.
