Is Unbelief Keeping You from Victory?

“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”

EPHESIANS 1:19-21

PONDER THIS

The Church is not an organization with Jesus as the president; it is an organism with Jesus as the head—we are one with the Lord Jesus Christ. He took our sins that we might take His innocence. He took our guilt that we might be acquitted. He took our despair that we might have His joy. He took our shame that we might know His glory. He took the pains of Hell that we might know the glories of Heaven. We are now in Him, and we are His body. He is seated far above all these things, and He says to us, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore” (Matthew 28:18-19).

Does Jesus have authority over Satan? So do you. Does Jesus have constant victory? So do you. Satan hopes you never learn that Jesus has given you authority over all the power of the enemy.

You may ask, “Why is my life so miserable and defeated?” Because you fail to understand and put this faith into practice. God’s plan for you, for the Church, is constant, continual, and conspicuous victory. Don’t say, “The devil made me do it.” He can’t. The only power he has over you is what you yield to him by unbelief.

How has victory in Jesus been evident in your life?

Do you more often live defeated and discouraged or with hope and victory?

PRACTICE THIS

Pray for believers all around the world who are discouraged in their faith that they may remember and live in their victory in Jesus.
