Romans 13:1-7
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
I did not vote for President Obama. I do not support his views. I want less government. I want to help the poor because it is what God says to do. I will pay my tax but Your word comes to me, Ps.119:37 Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways. I feel the government is out of control, eyes on worthless things, losing the respect of the American people by foolish and wasteful spending and offering a free ride. 2 Thess.3:10-12 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.

Week 9 of Charles Stanley's Intercession For Amercia/Increasing Unemployment
Phil.4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
God's abundant supply:
We serve a God of abundant mercy and provision. He supplies the spiritual and physical needs of His children. God is called “Jehovahjireh,” meaning “The Lord Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). God is the master provider of needs both great and small. His storehouse of blessing never goes empty. (Thanks Miss Adah)
2 Kings 4:1-7 Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves." And Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?" And she said, "Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil." Then he said, "Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few. Then go in and shut the door behind yourself and your sons and pour into all these vessels. And when one is full, set it aside." So she went from him and shut the door behind herself and her sons. And as she poured they brought the vessels to her. When the vessels were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another vessel." And he said to her, "There is not another." Then the oil stopped flowing. She came and told the man of God, and he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on the rest."
Lord, help us to fix our eyes on You, the author of all things. Amen

Oh To Hear Jesus Pray
Mark 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.
Oh to hear the marvelous words our Savior would use to speak to His Father. We only get a glimpse of this in the bible. It is as a son should speak to his father, with reverence, adoration and respect.
Lord, we come to You as Your children and all that entails. We are spoiled and hold back nothing. You teach us from Your word and sometimes we miss the lesson. Forgive us and teach us for we long for an everlasting relationship with Jesus and His Father God. Amen
John 17 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
"I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."

Prayer
1 Sam.1:27 For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him.
Jam.5:15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Today God showed His mercy to a precious five year old child. The body of Christ, in one voice, called on our most high God for courage, safety, mercy, steady hands for a surgeon, alert caring staff , healing and peace.
Lord, we praise You for Your mercy and grace. Amen

Week 8 Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Increasing Taxation
Ps. 66:10-12 For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried. You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs; you let men ride over our heads;we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.
Lord, we bow to You and You alone. Our government is out of control and we are waiting for You to lead us in what will glorify Your name. Amen
This nation's foundation is based on freedom of religion not freedom from religion.

Perfect in Weakness
2 Cor.12:8-10 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
We don't want to admit to being weak but we are! Only by God's power are we strong.
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Unity in the Body of Christ
The Holy Spirit of our God inspires Paul to write:
Eph.4:1-8 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, "When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men."
Eph.4:11-16 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
To this we are called, in one body His bride, to be betrothed to our coming bridegroom. Be careful where you put your heart, for our God is a jealous God. We are to love people but not spare the lost from the healing that comes from God's word, where they will find the way of repentance and therefore glorify God's name.
Lord, I pray for You to lead us in the right way to love with the knowledge of Your word. Let us give Your words to glorify Your name in all the world. For Your words lead to conviction and repentance, of which the whole world needs. Amen
