I And The Father Are One

John 10:30 I and the Father are one."
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one
John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand
John 10:36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'?
John 17:21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Matthew 11:27 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

As Christians we do believe that Christ is the Son of God and the son of man. This is the divine plan of Father God. God sent Christ.
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

God has granted authority over man to Christ.
John 3:35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands
John 17:2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

Christ is mediator between man and God.
1Tim.2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

Christ had the authority to lay down His life and take it up again.
John 10:17-18
17 For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father."

Christ has intimate knowledge of the Father.
Eph.1:17-23
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,
18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might
20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

Gracious Lord, as I bow before you today, teach me! I know without a shadow of doubt that Christ is my salvation. His life, freely given as payment and received, on Your altar as the only acceptable sacrifice for repentant sinners for eternity. I am saved, by His grace, alone! Let me teach the truth of the hope that is found in Christ and let the lost respond. Lord, let my last breath sing Your praises! In Jesus precious name, Amen

I Have Come In My Father's Name

Lord, You are mighty to save! Salvation is in no one else! People of the world, behold Your Savior!!
John 5:37-47 And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen, and you do not have his word abiding in you, for you do not believe the one whom he has sent. You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life. I do not receive glory from people. But I know that you do not have the love of God within you. I have come in my Father's name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope.  For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"
Every time I read these words, my heart is heavy with the foolishness of man! The truth of God is everywhere we look. You have to ask yourself, who made the heavens and the earth and all that is held with in them! Even the people who are located in the outer most parts of the world, when confronted by mission minded people, and presented with this question, answer, we have been waiting for someone to tell us. It is in our being to think about right and wrong and their consequence or what makes something good or what makes something evil. The Almighty Creator gave us this sense when we were created in His image. His Word reinforces this truth! Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Col.3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Romans 2:15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them  Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
Lord, how long will the foolishness of man be tolerated? People die everyday without You! Open eyes and hearts to the truth of Your Word. Amen
Today the world lost a dear and compassionate man who loved the Lord and prayed for many people. He prayed with me on several occasions and you could feel his concern for your trials. He was a true prayer warrior for the Lord! I will be forever blessed because of his love for others! Mr. Charles, you are home now! 2 Cor.5:8 ASV we are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

Do You Know Someone Who Needs Help?

This is the season of giving, why do you think that is? This is a time of celebration of the birth of Christ who laid down His life for us. What is the most heart felt command that God has given?
1 Cor.13:13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
There is a theme through out the bible of love. God meant for us to love one another just as he first loved us, even while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, Romans 5:8.
Ps.10:14 But you do see, for you note mischief and vexation, that you may take it into your hands; to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless.
John 15:12-13 "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Matt.25:35-40 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?  And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Lord, I ask that our eyes be open to the hurting around us. Let us not be blinded by life and not see because we are too busy. Jerk our hearts awake and shake us if we turn away. We are Your servants and we must show Your love to the hurting. I ask in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Whatever You Do, Do It All To The Glory Of God

1 Cor.10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
We tend to look down on people who are less fortunate than we are or someone who has a job we think is beneath us. Take for example, the garbage man, we think, oh that job is so gross. But did you ever stop to think where we would be without the garbage man? It would not be pretty! They serve us very well!! And what about people who live in a house that is disrepair? Instead of turning our nose up in disgust maybe we should volunteer to help do repairs on their home and buy the materials if we can afford it. I guess we really should do all things to glorify God and stop passing judgements. Lord, open our eyes to the hurting around us and pour out Your blessings on the helpless. For Your glory, open our hearts and minds to the joy of being a servant. Amen
