Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!
Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King!
Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!
For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.
Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,
to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples,
to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron,
to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the LORD!
Lord, You are so awesome. There are some who reject You and Your Son Jesus Christ, woe to them for Your judgment will be swift and for eternity. Lord, I pray You will guide us to the ones who need You and we can share with them Your truth and mercy. For it is in Jesus precious name we ask these things, Amen

Week 18 of Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Natural Disasters
Hebrews 12:25-29 See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." This phrase, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
At Mount Sinai, God shook the earth but this is going to be more extensive. He will shake the entire universe and the heavens. Every physical thing will be destroyed and only eternal things will remain. Our God is a jealous God and He will punish those who reject His salvation made possible through His Son Jesus Christ.
Lord, we long for the new heaven and new earth, New Jerusalem. For we know from Your word that You will dwell with us. For this wait, Amen

I know it is not politically correct to say same sex marriage is a sin so I won’t say it, God will! The world better consider the ramifications of turning its back on God. We see the destruction that follows all through the bible as a result of willful disobedience.

Week 16 Charles Stanley’s Intercession for America/Killing the Unborn
Ps.139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
This is one of the most touching and heart wrenching set of bible verses that I know. It tells us that God knew us even before we were created! Beware lest you buy into the worlds’ lie that a fetus is not a human being, God’s word just said different. O Lord God, how can we kill what You have made? Week 15 Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Reaffirming Our Nation's Christian Heritage
Ps. 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
Definition of heritage: something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth; something reserved for on.
Eph.1:12-14 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
The definition of inheritance: the action of inheriting, legacy; bequest, ownership by virtue of birthright.
Heb.9:15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

Week 14 of Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Turning Away From Israel
Gen.12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
God blessed us through Abraham. He is the father of all nations, Jew and Gentile alike.
Acts 3:25 You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.'
Gal.3:8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you shall all the nations be blessed."
Lord, I pray for our family in Israel. Open their hearts to the truth of Your word. I pray we would never forget that we are brothers in God's eyes and that our blessings come from Abraham. Amen

nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge
These verses are really wonderful because it lets us know that no evil can touch us because of God's sovereign protection. It would have to be God's will for disaster to touch us! This brings to mind another great verse: Romans 8:31 If God is for us, who can be against us?
Father, how often do we remember that we are under Your protection? It should make us ever so bold but it does not! Lord, I pray for boldness for us as we take You to the nations. Let everything we do be for Your glory. Amen

Week 12 of Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/The War Against Jesus
Matt.5:10-12 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I recently gave some bible verses on homosexuality and was accused of judging gay people. The bible verses I gave were against gay marriage for God states in His word, marriage is between a man and a woman. I can not judge but God will! I will be held accountable if I do not, in love, tell the truth of God's word.

Week 11 Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Confusion and Corruption
Is.3:12-13 My people— infants are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your guides mislead you and they have swallowed up the course of your paths. The LORD has taken his place to contend; he stands to judge peoples.
This is meant to be an insult to leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, as women and children were deemed not suitable for government leadership.
I think this does apply to our present day leadership given the sad state we are in and the incompetence that abounds.

Week 10 Charles Stanley's Intercession for America/Rapid Erosion on Our Liberties
Gal.5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Our government is not for the people, it is not by the people, it is for its self. It is growing and out of control.
It wants to restrict us more and more and take our freedom away. America fall on your knees to God, and ask for His guidance. Listen to the preamble of the constitution: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Week 9 of Charles Stanley's Intercession For Amercia/Increasing Unemployment
Phil.4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
God's abundant supply:
We serve a God of abundant mercy and provision. He supplies the spiritual and physical needs of His children. God is called “Jehovahjireh,” meaning “The Lord Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14). God is the master provider of needs both great and small. His storehouse of blessing never goes empty. (Thanks Miss Adah)
2 Kings 4:1-7 Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves." And Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?" And she said, "Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil." Then he said, "Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few. Then go in and shut the door behind yourself and your sons and pour into all these vessels. And when one is full, set it aside." So she went from him and shut the door behind herself and her sons. And as she poured they brought the vessels to her. When the vessels were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another vessel." And he said to her, "There is not another." Then the oil stopped flowing. She came and told the man of God, and he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on the rest."
Lord, help us to fix our eyes on You, the author of all things. Amen

Deut.8:18 You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
I am afraid that this verse may be our sinner's way of thinking. Deut.8 :17 Beware lest you say in your heart, 'My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.'
Lord, protect us from this evil way of thinking. All things come from You, the Creator, let us always bow before Your majesty. Amen

Week 6 Charles Stanley Intercession/God's Intervention to Turn the Tide
2 Chr.7:12-15 12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon in the night and said to him: "I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.
O Blessed Lord, how I pray this for our nation, that You would forgive our sin and heal our land. But, I fear You will not because of the wickedness of unrepentance. Holy God, You have captivated us with Your mercy and love, but we seem to think You will just let us continue in our sin with no consequence to us. Your word says different! Lord, as I look around, people in Your name, are telling those who are unrepentant sinners not a word about staying in their sin and it's cost. If you do quote Your scripture about sin, you will be told you are judging others. Lord, how can this be? I ask,for the sake of the lost, that You open eyes and hearts to the truth of Your word and it's saving power. I am begging in Jesus name. Amen

For God to Open the Eyes of Our Fellow Americans
This is week 4 of Charles Stanley's intercession for America. Please pray for our nation!
Ps.73 Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For they have no pangs until death; their bodies are fat and sleek. They are not in trouble as others are; they are not stricken like the rest of mankind. Therefore pride is their necklace;

But when I thought how to understand this, it seemed to me a wearisome task, until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end. Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin. How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away utterly by terrors! Like a dream when one awakes,
O Lord, when you rouse yourself, you despise them as phantoms. When my soul was embittered,
when I was pricked in heart, I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you.
Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand.You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God;
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
Ps.73 Truly God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For they have no pangs until death; their bodies are fat and sleek. They are not in trouble as others are; they are not stricken like the rest of mankind. Therefore pride is their necklace;

For the Church to Recognize it's Responsibility
Today is week 3 of Charles Stanley's 140 days of intercession for America.
Matt.5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
We feel right at home in this world!! Have we forgotten that this is not our home? However, we do have a mission here, given to us by God, to make disciples of all nations.
Matt. 28: 18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
We are sojourners here and our Savior Jesus is coming to take us home soon! Here is a tiny glance of our real home.
Rev.21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Pretty awesome huh? Lord, we deserve Your wrath. But in Your mercy, You give us grace. Thank You is so very inadequate. We praise You for the miracle of grace! Amen

God's Ability to Help Us

Ps. 77:7-15 "Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable? Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?" Then I said, "I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High."
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.
You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.

Personal Preparation
Today, Charles Stanley began a 140 day intercession for America through bible reading and prayer. This is the first bible reading. This is just so beautiful. I had to share.We all need a clean heart!!
Ps.51 Have mercy on me,O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
build up the walls of Jerusalem; then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar.
