Days Of Affliction

The definition of affliction is something that causes pain or suffering, distress, misery or grief.

Ps.90:15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil.

In life there will be sorrow! Sinner or Saint, does not matter, you will be afflicted. As a follower of Christ we turn to Him in sorrow for His mercy and grace. As an sinner who is rebellious and will not repent, in whom do you place your hope?

Ps.86:1-10

1 Incline your ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
2 Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in you--you are my God.
3 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day.
4 Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
6 Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.
7 In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me.
8 There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.
9 All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.
10 For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.

Will you pray and ask God for mercy? Will you plead for our joy to be more than our sorrow? Will you submit to Christ as Lord and Savior?

Ps.90:10-12

10 The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
11 Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?
12 So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Lord, teach us to truly number our days, knowing they all belong to You. Amen
