Restoring Your Brother

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. - Galatians 6:1

19 My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back,
20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. - James 5:19-20

8 If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
9 But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, that person shall die in his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. - Ezekiel 33:8-9

6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.
7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness;
8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance.
10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things.
12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.
14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.
15 Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.
16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. - 1 Timothy 4:6-16

When you try to help restore people to their former love, they rebel.
That being said, you are assuming that they are a Christ Follower.
You will be expected to be politically correct.
You will be expected to be inclusive to all, even though you are trying to be obedient to God.
God demands holiness.
Persecution comes in the way of name calling because you stand with the Lord and against the way of the world.
We don't like our sin exposed.
We are not judging just merely saying what God says.
Love does conquer.
Love is inclusive.
But judgment is real and you will be held accountable.
You are bound by God to speak the gospel, in love and to stress repentance.
Not one of us can claim to be sin free.
We all are weak, we fall.
We should prayerfully be in repentance asking for mercy and strength.
Rebellion is sin, rooted in disobedience.

Lord, save us from our sin.
Forgive us our rebellion.
Let us love people out of Hell in Your name and for Your glory.
Amen
