The Called Out Ones

We tend to think of "the church" as a building where we meet to worship. Actually ,"the church" in Greek comes from the word "ekklesia" meaning "called out ones". So that should lead us to believe and rightly so, we, the people, the witnesses are "the church". Therefore, I guess we can worship anywhere, not just in a building! This gives me great joy to know that we are God's chosen ones and we have been called out to take His word to the ends of the earth. This is known as the great commission and this is God's plan for us to make Him known everywhere we go. I am taking advantage of this gift of the Internet to spread the gospel. I will see some of you face to face but some I will only meet in heaven. Some people use the Internet to seek evil. You my friend, are seeking God. God is good! God is speaking to your heart at this very moment and He wants you to become His child.
Matt.16:13-20 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."  He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
The great commission:
Matt.28:16-20 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Lord, speak to Your children! Amen
