Servants of the Most High God

Who is the master of all creation? The most high God is! He has no other rival in all space and time!
Dan.3:14-18 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, "Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?" Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."
Dan.3:23-26 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, "Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?" They answered and said to the king, "True, O king." He answered and said, "But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods." Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!" Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.
Dan.3:27-29 And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king's counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them. Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside the king's command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a decree: Any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be torn limb from limb, and their houses laid in ruins, for there is no other god who is able to rescue in this way."
Lord, we praise You for You alone are worthy! Someday every knee will bow, Lord touch hearts, heal minds, save souls from an eternity in hell and show mercy to us sinners who have found hope in Christ. Amen

Waiting for New Heavens and a New Earth in Which Righteousness Dwells

2 Peter 3:13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
While it is true that this place we call our temporary home will be destroyed by fire. God is giving us His promise of a new home where we will spend our eternity.
2 Peter 3:11-12 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
We have been warned just as in the days of old and yet some still refuse to believe!
2 Peter 3:2-6  that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation." For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished.
The Lord God has extreme patience with His creation so that none will perish. But He will come and after that, judgement! It will be unexpected and not even Christ or the angels know!
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
The Lord is good and His mercy is free! Repent from sin and trust Christ for salvation!
Matt.24:36 But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
Are you secure in the things of this world or are you secure in the knowledge of Christ as Savior?

Teach Us to Number Our Days

Ps.90:12 So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Look back on days wasted, days gone forever! I need forgiveness for the days I was given, by God, for His purpose, that I wasted. Who did I not tell about the love of Christ? Who did I not hug, who so desperately needed the loving arms of another? Who needed money and I did not share? These things haunt me for I know I am guilty, are you? As I study God's Word, I see the overwhelming love God has shone to sinners! He would have us to do the same, but do we? Christ died for the sinner, He shed His precious blood for the outcast! It is true that we shower love on family and friends but what about strangers? What about the ones in prison who are in rebellion and so lost? How do we get a heart of wisdom? We pray and study the Word. God has not thrown us into a sinful land and not given us what we need to survive temptation. Fill your hearts and minds with the goodness of His commands. Show the world the love that is commanded us by Christ. We are His light in this dark and sinful place!
Lord, I pray for a heart to love the unlovable just as You first loved me, a sinner, lost in my rebellion. Lord, help us not to judge others, as we have no right. For we also are under the judgement of God, who has the right. Amen
Count this day as your last! It may really be, God alone knows! He has determined your days before you ever came to be! And with these thoughts comes fear of your eternity and your judgement, and this produces humbleness! And with that humbleness, may we know that Christ alone offers salvation to the world.
Ps.39:4 "Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life.
Ecc.7:2 It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this to heart.
Deut.32:29 If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!

To Cancel the Claims of Hell on Our Soul

"Paul says, God's love for His people is as long as eternity past, so wide as to include all nations, so high as to ring praises from angels in heaven, and so deep as to cancel the claims of hell on our soul".
Bryan Chapell
The Church: A Demonstration of God's Power and Love
Eph.1:3-10  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
Eph.2:4-10  But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.Eph.3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Eph.4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love
Eph.4:15-16  Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Eph.5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Lord, thank You for Jonathan B. and his wonderful sermon today. Your abundant love for him and Your mighty power over life and death are evident in his life. His complete trust in You is a wonderful testimony of humble submission. Your Word does hold the keys to eternal life through Christ. Amen

Establish Your Hearts

James 5:8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Definition of establish: Set up on a firm or permanent basis
So, with our being patient in all circumstances, we stand firm of God's promise. That means whether in good times or bad, we are to be content with our trials and our happiness. For we know that this is our temporary home here on this earth and that God is faithful in His promise of the hope we find in Christ!
1 Peter1:3-9 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.Lord, I know from the truth of Your Word, that our hope is in Christ alone! Help us to establish our foundation through Your Word. Open our hearts and give us clear understanding. Amen

Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Romans 6:3-4 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
Christ has indeed made a way for the sinner to be reconciled to God. By His blood, which He shed on the cross, He has raised us from death to life. When you are baptised, you are immersed in the water signifying death(buried with Christ) and raised out of the water(Resurrection of Christ), signifying walking in new life with Christ as our example. There is only one Savior!
Eph. 4:4-6  There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call-- one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
1Peter 3:18-22 For Christ also sufferedonce for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
Matt.3:11-12 "I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."
Mark 16:15-16 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
Lord, I pray the power of Your Word will convict the sinner's heart! Pour out Your Spirit to the ends of the earth and claim Your church. Amen
