Romans 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Do you ever think about the bodies connection between death and life? At birth, we occupy the body which the Lord has given us for our brief time here. At death, we(the soul) departs the body the Lord has given us and go into eternity. I am speaking of the eternal soul which was designed by God for everlasting life! In the original Greek, the word is yuxhn which translated means psyche, which means breath of life (the vital force which animates the body and shows itself in breathing) or an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death. This is amazing to me, that the Creator of the universe meant for us to be with Him for eternity.
Matt.10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
There is a war going on between our spiritual mind and our body of flesh.
Romans 7:14-25 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
Satan is defeated and Christ is King!!
John 12:31-33 Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die.
John 14:30-31 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.Stand firm in your faith! John 16:11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judgedCol.2:8-15 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. Jesus is the victor!!Matt.28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Rev.1:17-18 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. Father, You do have the breath of life! People will try and deny You but they will be without proof or excuse. Amen

Rest for Weary Souls
Rest for weary souls, through prayer and abounding in God's Word!
Jer.31:25 For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish."
Ps.119:28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word!
Ps.73:25-26 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Is.40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Matt.11:28-29 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. From before, birth we have been hid in Him!Ps.71:6 Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother's womb. My praise is continually of you. You rescue us!Ps.71:20 You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. Lord, there is no heart that can truly want to know You and not find You. You are there for those who wholeheartedly seek You! Your Word is a blessing to me! Amen

One Man's Disobedience/ One Man's Obedience
Romans 5:19 For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
The first "one man's disobedience" is Adam. The second "man's obedience" is Jesus Christ. That is mind blowing isn't it? God's perfect creation perverted by sin and His plan of salvation for those who will repent. He knew man was weak and would yield to temptation. What a wonderful Creator who knew us as weak and sinful and still made a way for our salvation. What a tremendous gift Jesus is!!
We had death in Adam and we have life in Christ!
Romans 5:12-13 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned-- for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
Romans 5:17-18 For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.
Be at peace with God, through Christ!
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Lord, I sing praises to Your name. You sent salvation in the form of a man, one who was sinless, one who obeyed, one who cares for us daily and we are blessed by You. Amen

Under the Guilt of Sin
Grace frees us from the guilt of sin! It is free to all who will have faith in Christ! However, it was not free for Christ, it cost Him His life. On a cross, like a criminal guilty of some heinous crime, He gave His life willingly so that grace and mercy would flow like His precious blood flowed because He took the wrath due us! He who knew no sin became a sinner! You must confess your sin before a holy God to be pardoned. There is no way to be reconciled to God other than through Jesus atoning blood! He imparts His righteousness to us when we through faith believe Him for salvation!
Romans 3:10-12 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."
Romans 3:18 "There is no fear of God before their eyes."
Romans 3:22-26 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
The whole World is guilty, none are excluded! Some of us have put our faith in Christ and believe in Him for our salvation. His Word is precious to us and we meditate on it night and day. My memory is not what it used to be, I can't retain all that I need too. To be able to quote the bible verses I need to is not all ways available to me, but I can look them up!! God knows my heart, that is what matters!! I am not always the person I should be, I get mad, I act ugly, I bawl out other drivers, I am still human! And that said, I know you all will identify! That is why I know I need Christ! If I were judged by my works and actions, they would not be acceptable before God. I need a Savior who is righteous and sinless to cover my human sinful ways. Be humble before the Lord, you are dependant on His Grace!!
2 Chr.7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Lord God, forgive us as we often fail You. Let us be mindful of the gift of Your Grace. Let us forever be humble for You alone are worthy of our praise. Amen

For God Alone My Soul Waits
My Lord and my God, Your Word is rich with truth. My soul knows You in a real and wonderful way. You speak to me and I am blessed beyond measure. I am encouraged and I am humbled by Your majesty! I am overwhelmed by Your truth and I have been set free by Your grace. Sweet Jesus, I have no hope but in You! Power belongs to You alone, Amen.
Ps.62:1-2 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
Ps.62:5-8 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.
God is all seeing and all powerful! He loves and He judges!
Ps.62:11-12 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
Only You Lord can satisfy my soul!
Ps. 63:1-4 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. Seek the Lord while you can. He will be found by those who seek His truth. Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is nearAfter death there will be no conversion of the soul. Breaths and Delusions
The poor and the rich have one thing in common, both, after death, will stand before their maker. Our reality here on Earth may be in poverty or in wealth but the outcome of judgement will be the same. God shows no partiality according to our poverty or wealth! He is totally fixed on our acceptance of His Son and how we used our freedom in Him to tell the world of the hope we have found in Christ.
Ps.62:9 Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
Prov.22:2 NIV Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.
Matt.16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.
All flesh, in prayer, go to the Lord!
Ps.62:2 O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.
The hope of the ends of the Earth!
Ps.65:5-8 By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas; the one who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with might; who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples, so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth are in awe at your signs. You make the going out of the morning and the evening to shout for joy.
What He has done for my soul!
Ps.66:16-20 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul. I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
