False Gods/Where is their God?

Ps.115:4-8 Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?" Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them.
Our God is the one and only true living God. He is creator and king, He sits on His throne and waits for the time when He will judge all unrepentant sinners. God has sent mercy to man through His Son, Jesus Christ. We trust in Christ alone for our salvation. There is nothing man can do to be reconciled to God. The power of the cross is our only hope!!
1 Cor.1:19
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the
discerning I will thwart."
How can man not fall on his face before God and humbly ask for mercy for his foolish heart being enticed by all manner of wickedness? Some people worship false gods, some run after money, some hunger for power, some just ignore the power of Christ and others just say that Christ is a lie. There will be a time of judgement. You will stand before a holy Judge!
Praise the Lord for He is worthy!
Ps.118:14 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
Ps.118:24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
The Lord is our help!
Ps.116:1-2 I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
We walk in His Spirit!
1Cor.2:9-16  But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"-- things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Lord, teach us to rest in Your holy presence! You are the only true and living God, we praise Your name. Amen
