Wisdom Verses Knowledge

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. - James 1:5

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.  - Proverbs 1:7

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, - 1 Corinthians 1:30

3 yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, 

4 if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, 

5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. 

6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; 

7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,  - Proverbs 2:3-7

8 But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand. 

9 It is not the old who are wise, nor the aged who understand what is right.  - Job 32:8-9

Wisdom definition 

Good sense or judgment, determining what is right 

Knowledge definition 

Info gained experience

We can be knowledgeable without having wisdom.

Knowledge comes from studying.

Knowledge takes time, savoring each bit of information.

Wisdom comes from God and His gift of how we apply knowledge!

Lord, let us have knowledge of Your word. 

We ask for wisdom in teaching and sharing.
