A Work of Delusion/Can Man Make for Himself gods?

Is not this world under delusions? Have we not forsaken God with the pursuit of worldly treasures? We may not have built idols of wood, stone or metals but we have definitely replaced God with things! Is this not idolatry? Check yourself today and make sure God is foremost in your heart.
Jer.10:15 They are worthless, a work of delusion; at the time of their punishment they shall perish.
Jer.10:10 But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.
Jer.16:20 Can man make for himself gods? Such are not gods!"
Psalm 115:4 But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.
He will bring judgement!
Jer.12:17 But if any nation will not listen, then I will utterly pluck it up and destroy it, declares the LORD."
Still today, there are many who worship idols or false gods. Surely they have not considered who created all things! Stop, just for a moment, look around and see that God is good! He has given us many beautiful things in creation to be thankful for and to praise Him for. The sky and all it's beauty, stars, trees, grass, soil, animals of which we have dominion over, clouds, sun for warmth and to make things grow, rains to replenish our water and to help our crops grow, the wind to cool us that seems to come from nowhere, planets that capture our imagination, and of course the ever wonderful moon. God created all things! He has no beginning or end, He is and was!!
1 Cor.8:5-6 For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth--as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"-- yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.
Lord, so many perish while believing a lie. They neither know You or praise You. I pray for Your Word to go out into the world today and to convict and change lives. In Jesus name and for Your glory, Amen
